Mediation

Mediation is an informal, confidential, and non-adversarial intervention between conflicting parties to promote settlement, compromise, or understanding. Mediation is usually the best, but last alternative to litigation.

There are no Losers in Mediation

Mediation provides an impartial, non-binding assessment of your dispute in a private and confidential environment. Mediators don’t judge or counsel, but simply find avenues to reconciliation between disputing parties through the skills and experience they possess as a trained mediator. Benefits of mediation include:

  • Mediation is fast, resolving disputes that could take months or years in the courts in days or weeks

  • Mediation is private and confidential, whereas courts are public forums and information about your business and personal affairs become public knowledge

  • Mediation costs less than other forms of dispute resolution

  • Mediation can maintain relationships and goodwill, by allowing parties to approach the dispute together and find a mutually agreeable outcome

Who Needs a Mediator?

A well-trained mediator acts as a third ear, not a third voice; organizing, facilitating, navigating, and refereeing between conflicting parties. Our mediators are great at sensing and recognizing the real vs. perceived needs of the parties, finding the message behind the message, and guiding the conversation towards an amicable resolution. The main goal is to keep everyone focused on resolving the issues at hand in a facilitative and confidential environment free from threat or intimidation.
