Mediation is an informal, confidential, and non-adversarial intervention between conflicting parties to promote settlement, compromise, or understanding. Mediation is usually the best, but last alternative to litigation.

Today’s business world is uniformly embracing good communication at all levels… because it has to. As the workplace becomes more global and complex, even the most basic communication skills now encompass productivity, workplace environments, planning, reputation and profitability.

Arbitration is similar to litigation, except that parties agree to be bound by the decision of a mutually acceptable, knowledgeable, independent, and neutral third-party. The third-party may be an individual arbitrator or a panel of arbitrators, often referred to as a tribunal.

Facilitation

Facilitation is the process of planning and conducting productive meetings to gather facts, opinions, and consensus on items of mutual concern. Facilitation is similar to mediation, but often employed pre-conflict to reconcile differing opinions or set out strategic plans.
